What Can You Expect from Expat Life in Zaragoza?

Zaragoza is the capital of the Aragón region in northeast Spain, on the banks of the Ebro River. It is home to the highly regarded University of Zaragoza and boasts numerous architectural gems while enjoying a lively and varied nightlife scene. Buying a home in the city is somewhat cheaper than in other major Spanish cities, while there is a good choice of rented accommodation to suit all budgets. Many head to Zaragoza to teach, while the plethora of bars and restaurants means there is no shortage of evening work. Away from the bustling bars of the old town, Zaragoza has many fascinating attractions such as the Centro de Historia, a free, contemporary art museum in the Magdalena district, and the basilica El Pilar, which is at the heart of the week-long fiesta in October.
