A Warm Welcome to One of the Friendliest Cities in Europe
Newcastle in 2015 is a town of many identities — like many former industrial towns in the UK, recent years have seen extensive regeneration, with coal pits being replaced by restaurants and boutiques. The town now has a reputation for wild nightlife, thanks to the extensive student population and of course the famous Geordie Shore, but there are plenty of quieter and more cerebral pursuits in its museums and art galleries too, such as the Tate Modern-rivaling Baltic Centre for Contemporary Arts. With an added reputation as being the friendliest city in England, there are plenty of reasons enticing people from across the globe to Tyneside.
