Celebrate the Season: Exciting Midsummer Events in June
In June, our communities already embraced the magic of summer with a variety of unforgettable events. Members enjoyed scenic boat rides with stunning views, celebrated equality for all during this Pride Month, and danced the night away at lively summer parties. And there’s more to look forward to! Enjoy the rest of this month with delightful picnics in the park, rejuvenating yoga sessions, and more.
Midsummer Festivities
On Saturday, 1 June, members came together for the Stockholm Summer Official Event. They cruised around Stockholm on a boat while listening to classics, hip-hop, and R&B tunes.
A Summer Party was also hosted by the InterNations Nottingham Community on Friday, 7 June, at Crafty Crow. Members gathered at this popular local spot only a stone throw from Nottingham Castle for an evening filled with mingling, music, and summer festivities.
That same day, members in Orange County came together for the InterNations OC Celebrate the Summer official event at Tantalum Restaurant. Sunshine, great company, drinks, and fantastic vibes were on offer aplenty.
On Monday, 10 June, members gathered together at Caldo to join the InterNations Sofia – Summer Edition event. Attendees could not only enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, they were also encouraged to share their best joke of the night for a little competition.
Exploring Nature: Adventure, Hiking, and Scenic Views
Trail Bliss: On Sunday, 2 June, the Silicon Valley Hangouts Group hosted an event that brought hikers together to Discover Rancho San Antonio’s Lookout Point. Members enjoyed the breathtaking vista where they could soak in panoramic views of the surrounding landscape to the bay.
On the same day, the African Safari Adventure took place … in Hamilton! The Toronto Mississauga Meetups Group experienced the thrill of a lifetime at African Lion Safari, encountering majestic wildlife up close like majestic lions, graceful giraffes, and playful baboons — all without having to leave the country.
The Dubai Affordable Luxury Group visited Luxury Terrace with Fountain View on Saturday, 1 June. Guests enjoyed an elegant evening at the Karma Cafe, savoring breathtaking views of the fountain.
Celebrating Diversity: Cultural Events and Pride Month
The InterNations Riyadh official event on Friday, 31 May, offered members a taste of Saudi history. Attendees gathered together for authentic flavors, cultural immersion, and a few board games at the Cultural Saudi Restaurant.
Members in São Paulo came together for the InterNations SP Pride Drag Extravaganza held on 5 June. Attendees were dazzled by the vibrant performances at Casa Fluida and celebrated respect and equality of all!
The Stockholm City Trotters Group hosted the Swedish National Day Celebration with a picnic on 6 June. Celebrating Swedish heritage and joining in on the festivities, attendees enjoyed live Swedish music, a local market, and various games.
