An Expat Life on the Ligurian Coast

A bustling port town, Genoa is a city of contrasts with beautiful old architecture dating from its days as a maritime empire contrasting with more modern industrial and docking buildings. Extensive regeneration has led to many of the formerly run-down parts of the city being given a fresh lease of life and visitors won't want for fashionable eateries, galleries, or bars. As a major economic center of the north-east of Italy, along with Milan and Turin, there are plenty of industries that attract foreign workers, from shipbuilding to electronics, so you're sure to find plenty of like-minded people.

A Vibrant Community for Genoa Expats

Our members on InterNations are all by approval only in order to give you the best experience possible, whether you're asking a question on the forum or simply here to network. After you've logged in to your account, made some first connections, and joined in a few discussions, you can take things offline, too! Our members in Genoa host groups for specific activities, catering for everything from movie nights to fine dining. Our larger official events also attract huge interest from around the region and provide great opportunities to meet all sorts of other expats, so make sure you attend when one is announced!
