Expat Life & Facts about the Local Economy in Brno

Situated at the heart of the eastern region of Moravia, with excellent transport links to Prague, Vienna, and Bratislava, Brno is a thriving center of business and education that combines a busy urban atmosphere with an authentic Czech personality and a nightlife that, while lively and varied, is considerably less raucous than the tourist-fueled clubs of the Czech capital. A strategically attractive location with strong links to three major central European capitals, Brno attracts considerable business and foreign investment, with key industries including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and the services sector. The city also has a large student population and a healthy tourist industry, with colorful festivities taking place throughout the year. With all the modern amenities you could wish for and stunning landscapes right on your door, Brno offers a fabulous experience for expats in search of the "real" Czech Republic.
